We were called to this house near East Grinstead, Sussex on Thursday. The winds were gusting up to 85 mph, which brought down the 360 year old oak tree, which weighed around 34 tonnes. The tree caused extensive damage to the roof of the house and internal walls.
On Friday we checked on-line one of the weather buoys mid channel, this shows all the data from the previous day, we found that the strongest gust was south westerly at 85mph. Sea water temperature was currently 12° C the highest wave was just over 8 meters.
